About CNL Gaming

We started as the group that took it too seriously.

Not the casual crowd. The ones still online at 3am chasing a drop rate, arguing about build efficiency in a group chat nobody else could follow, rerolling the same item for the fifth time because the roll wasn't perfect yet. Try-hards, and not embarrassed about it. That's where CNL Gaming comes from — not a business plan, just a handful of players who cared more than was reasonable.

And because we played that hard, we hit the same walls every serious player hits. Waiting half a day for a top-up that was supposed to be instant. Paying a foreigner's price because the store had never bothered to support our payment method. Getting a plausible-looking seller who took the money and disappeared. Writing to support in the middle of the night and hearing back Monday, if at all.

So we started doing it ourselves, for other players, one order at a time.

From freelancers to a real operation

In the beginning it was freelance in the most literal sense: no company, no systems, just us on the marketplaces, delivering by hand and answering messages personally. We learned the trade the slow way — that inventory is a promise, that a delivery time is only real if you hit it when it's inconvenient, and that in this industry the actual product isn't currency or codes. It's trust.

That got us further than we expected. We grew into a top-3 seller on both G2G and Eldorado, and passed one million orders delivered. A million times someone handed money to strangers on the internet and got exactly what they paid for.

But marketplaces have a ceiling, and we kept hitting it. We couldn't control delivery speed end to end. We couldn't add the local payment method a customer in Brazil or Turkey actually uses. We couldn't build the tooling that B2B partners needed to order at volume. If we wanted to fix the things that had annoyed us as players, we had to own the whole thing.

So we built it. CNL Gaming Limited was incorporated in Hong Kong in 2023, and we moved from being sellers on someone else's platform to running our own.

What we do now

Game currency, gift cards, mobile top-ups and game keys — across the world, serving both individual players and business partners who resell at scale.

Four things we hold ourselves to, because they're the four things that failed us back when we were the customers:

Fast. Instant should mean instant. Automated delivery where it can be automated, live agents where it can't, and no queue that only exists because nobody staffed the night shift.

Reliable. Stock we actually hold, prices that don't change between the cart and the checkout, and a refund when we fail instead of an excuse.

Fairly priced. We buy at scale and pass it on. No inflated rate because you happen to live somewhere with fewer options.

Local. Your payment method, your currency, your language, your timezone. A player in São Paulo shouldn't have to pay like they're in San Francisco.

Still gamers

The company grew up. We didn't, really. The people running CNL Gaming are the same people who were up too late farming, and we still play the games we sell for — which is why we tend to notice when something in a checkout flow would annoy a player, because it would annoy us.

That's the whole idea. Build the store we wanted back when nobody was building it for us.
